Book Club

We had a lot of fun at book club this week discussing Gerald Lund's book "The Undaunted" about the 'Hole in the rock' Pioneers. What a fantastic book...even if it is like 800 pages long! So many things to learn from the pioneers and I even discovered that it is about some of Jason's ancestors. Elaine Jeppson discovered the same thing, as I'm sure you will too if you decide to read it. What great people they were. Sometimes I think they were the "chosen" ones instead of my generation. I mean, I'm still waiting to find out what we are "chosen" for? Anyway, not only was it a great discussion about these amazing people, but we also had fun conversing and eating afterwards. A huge THANK YOU goes to Peggy Bishop for hosting the club this month. February's book will be "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis. I haven't read this one, but I have read Mere Christianity and it is phenomenal! So I am really looking forward to reading this one. It will be hosted by Sherri McQuivey on Wed. Feb. 10 at 8pm so make sure you are there. Also, keep your eyes peeled for the list of books we will be reading for the rest of the year. I'm still trying to track down some authors and availability of a few books before I post it here. But we will have a list all ready on sunday in the binders.
** Update: Here is the book club list. Look for it in the binders as well!**
